Professor Li is interested in the ongoing transformation of China’s economy system. He has published articles and books on the monetary policy， bank regulation， stock market development and new development of private equity in China. His current research concerns China’s unique monetary policy framework in associate with the special challenges the country is facing， and financial institution management.
