广东外语外贸大学国际工商管理学院现有在校本科生3000多人、硕士生39人。教职工79人,其中专任教师63人,硕士生导师27人,教授17人,副教授24人,有博士学位的教师29人。拥有工商管理、市场营销、人力资源管理、物流管理、电子商务等5个本科专业。其中工商管理、市场营销两个专业为省级名牌专业,《市场营销学》、《物流管理学》为广东省精品课程,市场营销专业为教育部第三批高等学校特色专业建设点。
学院目前已经形成了以硕士点为龙头,本科专业为依托,中外合作办学为辅助的学科体系。现有企业管理硕士点,设企业经营与管理、人力资源管理、市场营销、品牌管理与消费者行为、物流与供应链管理、信息管理与信息系统、商业智能与电子商务等7个研究方向;拥有企业管理专业研究生课程进修班举办权、高等学校教师在职攻读硕士学位企业管理专业举办权、与美国哈町大学联合培养硕士研究生班举办权。
学院科研实力较强,近年来,学院在横向、纵向课题研究方面均取得了很大成就,分别组建了一批科研创新团队和教学创新团队,高水平的论文发表数量不断上升,横向课题经费也大幅提升。
学院一贯重视学生的创新能力、思辨能力、组织能力和沟通能力的培养。学生在各种大型活动中取得了骄人的成绩。先后在国际企业管理挑战赛(GMC),全国“挑战杯”大学生创业设计大赛、第二届德勤税务精英挑战赛全国总决赛、全国英语演讲比赛总决赛、“金蝶杯”全国高校企业模拟经营精英赛、SIFE、全国大学生公共关系策划大赛、“邯运杯”全国大学生物流设计大赛等活动中多次获得国家级奖和省级奖项。学生就业率多年保持在98%以上,考取国内外名校研究生的人数也逐年增加。毕业生主要在跨国公司、国有企业、外贸公司、金融保险业、管理咨询公司、NGO以及政府部门从事管理工作。

A Brief Introduction to the School of ManagementPresently, the School of Management has over 3,000 full-time undergraduate students and 39 full-time postgraduate students. In addition, the School has administration staff of 26 and teaching staff of 63, among whom 63 are professional teaching staff, 27 are postgraduates supervisors, 17 are full professors, 24 are associate professors, and 29 PhDs. The School confers 5 bachelor’s degrees, namely Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Bachelor’s Degree in International Marketing, Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics Management and Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Commerce, among whom the undergraduate programs of Business Management and International Marketing were appraised “Famous Brand Programs of Guangdong Province”, the courses of International Marketing and Logistics Management were praised “Excellent Courses of Provincial Province”, the program of International Marketing was also graded as the third typical major construction programs by the Ministry of Education.
The discipline systems with the postgraduate programs as the driving force, the undergraduate programs as the mainstay, the Chinese-foreign cooperation programs as aided has been set up in the School of Management. The School offers the postgraduate major of Enterprise Management, which falls into 7 disciplines, namely Business Process Management and Enterprise Management, Human Resource Management, International Marketing, Brand Management and Consumer Behavior, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Management Information System, Business Intelligence and Electronic Commerce. The School also has the right to offer Postgraduate Diploma of Enterprise Management, part-time Master Degree of Enterprise Management to teaching staff in higher learning institution and the Chinese-foreign cooperation programs of postgraduate with Harding University in USA.
Academic research of School has made great achievements, such as many high-level papers were published, the crosswise project research fund for businesses and organizations has greatly aggregated, innovative teaching and research teams of has been built.
The School offers varieties of extra-curricular activities every semester aiming at raising the comprehensive abilities of the students, not only in terms of knowledge, but also in terms of creativity and inspiration through activities. In recent years, students were awarded provincial prize and national prize in many competitions, such as, Global Management Challenge, the National English Speaking Competition, the 2nd Deloitte Tax Championship and the National Logistical Management Competition, etc. The employment rate of the graduates is always above 98% in recent years. Most graduates find employment of management in the fields of transnational companies, state-owned enterprises, foreign trade companies, banking and insurance, management consultation corporations, NGOs and government agencies.
